THE TECHNOLOGY

The homecams are IP-addressable NetCams connected to a Linksys router and cable connection. A PC is not required to run the cameras and I can run up to 253 behind a single broadband Internet connection. Each camera is automatically assigned its own IP address and viewing/configuration is done with any standard web browser. They're great for increasing web traffic, can be used as security cameras and can even be turned into wireless cameras. Network cameras and video servers can also be recorded to hard drive with network DVR software -- this is future of the security camera industry.
